Not only are your dollars investing in our local community by keeping our contractors, pattern makers and dyers working, but also you're planting trees in California to offset the brutal effects of wildfires and, ultimately, climate change.

As we know, trees are the lungs of the planet. They are nutrient pumps for our planet, pulling nutrients out of the earth, oxidizing our atmosphere and sinking carbon dioxide back down into the earth. Working with One Tree Planted, a 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization, Modern Shibori planted one tree per online and in person purchase in California on December 19th, 2021.

All trees were planted in California with efforts focusing on areas hit hardest by wildfires.

So not only are you purchasing from a woman-, Asian-owned small business, you're also planting trees with every order. Feels good, doesn't it?
