PHOTOS: June's Shibori Retreat was a Success!

All photos by: Andrea Plell of Ecologique Fashion

The inaugural Shibori Retreat at Johnson’s Beach in Guerneville was a success last month! We worked outdoors the whole time under the trees. It was such an inspiring space.

All the students came from around the Bay Area, one from as far as LA. They camped out or stayed in cabins. Everyone created beautiful works from small napkins to extra large picnic blankets. Most people hadn’t used indigo before and wow! They did a great job.

The lovely Andrea Plell of Ecologique Fashion came by on Sunday and took some great shots of our set up.

Check out their work.

While they were busy, their partners or friends took advantage of Johnson’s Beach and Guerneville’s cute cafes and boutiques. Everything is walkable and there’s so much to do there. I’d also written an extensive packing list for car camping so people were prepared.

I’m happy to announce that both July and August retreats are sold out this summer. But stay tuned, I’ll post photos from those sessions on this blog as they happen too.

In the meantime, check out my events page to see where I’m vending at craft fairs this summer. Stop by and say hi! It’s always great to see a familiar face.

In case you want to know when my next workshops are during the fall, send me an email and join the FB group to stay in touch.

Indigo on,
