One very warm sunny afternoon in August, Andrea Plell of ecohabitude.com came by and visited me in my backyard studio. I hand-dye all my products using organic indigo and other natural dyes. I'm excited to be a new seller their socially conscious marketplace.
It was great to show her around and talk to her about my process. When she asked me how I got into dyeing and shibori, I told her how I'd spilt coffee on a fav white dress. Typical me! I'm such a klutz. I couldn't give up that dress so I dyed it indigo blue. And I still wear it to this day. And so began my obsession with all things indigo.
Andrea took some expressive pics below.
